Nightingale/The Merriest - Barback (Wednesday - Saturday, Christmas season)

Nightingale is a modern take on the fern bars from the 70s and 80s. If you like being part of a small team, are detail-oriented, and are interested in craft cocktails and DJs, the Bartender position at Nightingale may be right for you. We are looking for persons who have experience in the restaurant, bar, or hotel industries or those looking to and are eager to learn. Typical hours are Thursday thru Saturday, between 3:30 pm and 2:30 am.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with daily service
• Maintain overall bar cleanliness
• Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients
• Wash and organize glassware
• Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock
• Clean as part of opening and closing duties

• Strong attention to details
• Able to follow directions
• Basic math skills or an ability to use a calculator and understand proportions
• Good interpersonal skills
• Has or is willing to obtain a CA Food Handler’s Certification and RBS training required
• 21+ years of age or older
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance

• Hourly rate SF minimum + tips
