Rickhouse – Barback

Located in the heart of the Financial District of San Francisco, Rickhouse is inspired and built from old whiskey barrels, staves, and original charred brick from pre-1906 earthquake. If you like being part of a small team, are detail-oriented, and are interested in whisky, the Barback position at Rickhouse may be right for you.

Responsibilities

Assist bartenders with daily service
Maintain overall bar cleanliness
Prepare batches and other cocktail ingredients
Wash and organize glassware
Retrieve and keep adequate levels of bar stock
Clean as part of opening and closing duties
Opening and closing tabs
Preparing ice and garnishes
Receiving liquor and putting away.
Organizing the liquor room, dry storage and hallway.
Preparing cocktail batches.
Breaking down cardboard and disposing of it.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail
Able to follow directions
Basic math skills or an ability to use a calculator and understand proportions
Good interpersonal skills
Has or is willing to obtain a CA Food Handler’s Certification and RBS training required
21+ years of age or older
Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
